Do you all know about California AB 1634?

California is calling for a strict sterilization policy on dogs not registered with the AKc or UKC--as if those were the "quality" dogs of the world!

Many California ranchers depend on their dog crossbreeding programs to help them continue to run their ranches. This would end that.

And it won't stop in California... Today California--tomorrow the world.

It's not just CA, either. Any state who is willing to be a "pioneer" in passing stupid bills will set the direction of the nation. It just seems CA comes up with all the "stupid bills".

God help us all.
 
Many of the best Border Collies are not AKC registered- but are ABC (American Border Collie) registry...
 
Exactly. This bill does not take into account that AKc and UKC are NOT working dog registries. This bill hurts working dogs of all flavors.
 
HSUS and PETA are terrorist organizations with a hidden agenda, or not so hidden, to eliminate food animals, companion animals, and our equine population. Unfortunately we have morons, lile our Speaker of the House ?'Nancy the B" and Barbara Boxer and many more than accept hefty $$$ contributions from these TERRORIST. Wake up Agriculture..they have only just begun! We are at WAR with our own brand of terrorist in this country. :mad:
 
Here's what really makes me mad about peta. My daughter shows me a video on their web site of a man beating captive raccoons to death then skinning them, some still very much alive. What the man did was barbaric, however, somebody from peta stood there and filmed it and did nothing to stop it!!

They use this to raise funds to promote BS like this law. Why didn't they stop that one man and save those animals from suffering. I'm not against the fur industry, I just believe the animals should be killed cleanly and quickly and not like this. PETA just watches and sees the potential dollar bills coming in.

When I am skinning catfish they are almost always flopping around after I pull the skin off. Their gills are still opening and shutting too.

I wonder how that would go over with PETA.

growing up it was my job to kill and SKIN chickens for the noon meal during haying seasonm i had to do this on the given mornings before everyone headed to the fields and were doing othe chores.
i could cut the head off, skin it, gut it and the heart would still be giving a beat or two as i tossed it in the bucket. the bird was DEAD but impulses were still happening
same goes for other animals including CATFISH they can be dead but still twitching
 
I'm one of those that will take on anyone, anywhere when I see them abusing ANY animal ( or kids for that fact)....but even I've got to say that this PETA deal may be more cruel than those they demonize!


I hate to go to zoos and the circus cause I see that as bad treatment to animals. Granted some are far superior in their care and goals...but on the whole it's treated like a freak show!
