FINALLY! A DOSE OF THEIR OWN MEDICINE~

This from KLA:

The Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) unveiled a billboard over the weekend in New York City's Tiimes Square challenging the animal welfare record of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). According to CCF, PETA euthanized 78.3% of the animals taken in at its Norfolk, VA, headquaraters from July 1998 through July 2003. Only 19.5% of the animals saved by PETA were placed in new homes, compared to nearly 70% for at least one other animal welfare group.

CCF reported PETA took in about $29 million last year from the American public under the veiled goal of helping animals. The money was spent instead on advertising campaigns accusing those who eat meat of being Nazis and encouraging college students to drink beer as a replacement for milk. PETA also has funded other radical activist groups that condone violence.

The 60x60 PETA KILLS ANIMALS billboard will be in place through the month of May. More than 1.5 million people are expected to see the billboard every day. More information on PETA's animal welfare record is available.

CCF is a non-profit coalition of restaurants, food companies and individuals working to promote personal responsibility and protect consumer choices. The national organization provides the public and media with facts to counter activist claims.
