Well, we are back! All was well at home while we were away. We had a blast and saw some gorgeous country. Here's a mixed-up bunch of snapshots to show ya'll what we saw and did.
The area we hunt has 11000 foot ridges and peaks like this one.

Here is the veiw south toward Blanding, Utah. It's population is around 5 or 6 thousand.

We spent some great evenings around the fire telling hunting stories and swapping memories.

Our family ALL love to hunt! Some just go as a bunch of guys and the gals stay home. That's cool, but we hunt as a family. The family that hunts together, stays together!!!!

My wife tagged her second buck ever this year!!! The kids were with us too!!! She gave this three point a warning shot and then settled down to make a great shot. He went 20 yards and turned into good venison steaks.
I sure am proud of her!!!!

I was after bucks like these seen through my spotting scope from a mile and a half away. But they won again and it's good the Wife put meat in the freezer. It was sure fun chasin' them though! :D

I rode my fourwheeler up some rough trails to get to the nosebleed country. But i hunt on foot! Not one single tractor or farm implement was present or exploited while hunting!!!!!!!
DSCF0125.jpg

So since i struck out on deer, i took a bunch of landscape and mountain shots instead. Rainin' to the southwest.

The inbetween country is rim-rock and canyons.

The fences down there are let-down fences. They all have wire loops to drop the wire and stays during winter and deep snow.
