These two are going right.

My sister shut the endgate and then took this picture. With the one bull having a nasty temper and being on the fight,
I took these eight bulls directly to a sale barn where they will be auctioned off tomorrow.

Looks like ya got them loaded. After thinking about what a pain the hind quarters bulls are, i think your system sure is tempting. Run them as yearlings and put them on the bus! Hope they sell well! :D

Is that Kosmo's hand with the ring on it? One of our friends peeled the skin and meat right off his finger all the way to the bone because he caught his ring on something when he was jumping out of a truck. It was just like turning a glove wrong side out, except the glove was his flesh.

You have a very good point, and one that I have tried to impress upon my boys, to no avail. My mother's brother, who lived in Minnesota, jumped off the side of a truck. His wedding band caught in a piece of baling wire, and jerked that finger clear off.

Back in the spring of '73 or '74, I was riding a bronc mule. The mule planted me face first in the dirt. I was trying to take my glove off so I could use my fingers to feel if there was still a nose on my face. Come to find out, my sore nose was the least of my problems. The glove wouldn't come off because my left ring finger was broken real bad and lay crosswise with the rest of my hand. We had company for supper that night, and my dad's brother ended up hauling me to the doctor. The doc was a kind old gentleman, but he didn't get the finger set straight. It has been crooked ever since. This may have been a blessing in disguise last fall, when I lost the middle finger down to the first joint on the left hand in a pump jack. Had the ring finger next to it not been so crooked, chances are it could have been cut off, too. At least I can still hold the reins to my horse in the left hand, and or use it to grab the camera out of my right front shirt pocket if a Kodak moment comes along.  :-)

I've never worn a ring of any kind. The Mrs says I haven't earned a wedding band yet, not sure how long the trial period will be.

What about the one in your nose?

BMR that was priceless. Sorta mean but funny!

Thanks for sharing the picture Soapweed, I always enjoy them.

Soap, tell Kosmo he looks like an upstanding young Amish gentleman.

Any idea what that bull on the fight is out of?

Kosmo actually shaved that hooter off this morning, and needless to say, looks quite a bit more civilized at the moment. :-)

As to the bull, I should have looked harder at his eartag. It was certainly close enough a time or two. All I know is who raised him, and that the bull was AI sired, but not much more than that. The bull has probably gone through the sale barn by now, and he will experience an attitude adjustment in the near future.

Just call me Malachi! :D

I saw dad's pictures and decided that it was time to shave... Now my hair looks too long so I imagine I will have to get that cut soon to fit my baby face!
