I used to fall calve but I had to A'I cows during deer season and we couldn't have that. It worked pretty well-I creep fed the calves on whole oats and they ate alot more than you'd think.

No creep that would ruin the speciality market opportunity. I am amazed how much the calfs will put on when green grass comes. Breeding season starts around christmas time. If the bull is going out it's the day before christmas if it is AI then its december 26. . I like raising my own stocker cattle gives me a bigger slice of the pie.
