I gotta say that almost every night and every morning I get on here and listen to what all you guys talk about and I have always admired the pictures you share on this site. I took my camera with me today and thought I would give it a try.

I seriously believe theres nothing better then a field full of herefords,I'm sure happy you took your camera, and the sunset picture was a perfect ending..THX :)

Good pictures-- Makes me dream about when we used to have almost all herefords....If I could ever get my kid past the horns - I'd love to have a couple hereford bulls again...

Just beautiful! That first picture would be worth painting. And how'd you get the little bright outline on the cloud in the sunset? Just perfect uncluttered shots! thank you for posting them.

Great pics and great cattle. Those are Herefords like I remember my great Uncle having.....thick, deep and fleshy. That's the type of Hereford that made them known as the true "Range Cow". Do more with less, like cows ought to. Have you got a website? Love to see some more of your cattle.

Great looking Herfs...I was raised on a Horned Herf outfit (folks still run them) and married into the "other red breed," as I teasingly say.

I really like that calf with the red eye. He's a dandy.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos. I really enjoyed the little trip through your herd and country. Please post more, if you get a chance.

Cheers---

Looks good-are you over by Havre.

About 75 miles straight west of Havre is home at little town called Lothair - cows summer up below West Butte about 20 miles NW of us on the original homestead.

I have no idea... I just got out of my pickup to shut the gate and saw the sunset and took a picture.

I do but it hasn't really been updated since last winter - I need to work on it. www.ngrbulls.com

Isn't there an Angus outfit over by you that kind of raises outcross Angus cattle. SaddleButte Angus I think.

I just checked the Montana Angus directory Saddle butte is at Geyser MT.
They are consentrating on proven bulls of the past. Viking GD60, Emulation #!, F0203, Fabron of WYE, Prince of Malapas and Lodge of Wye.

They say "When we turned our backs on the promises of EPD's good things began to happen."

In their ad 'Are you tired of promises"
Proven Performance sires = (Terminal bull)
Dam is one of the elite females =( outlier genetics)
Daughters are ultra feminine = (disposable in three years)
Massive volume and dimension+ (too large)
Highlight of the bull test= (An eater with low fertility)
Herd building numbers= (herd destroing numbers)
Ranking among 1% for milk= (dairy cows do so well in Montana)

At least they aren't bashhful about their program.
