Cattle and grass are top notch. Our cow herd is still digging through 8 inches of snow. It would be nice to have this swamp grass have the power yours does.

In the picture of the grass close up, what kind of grass is that? Tame, native, whatever it is looks really good. I'm glad to see your winter is off to a good start like ours is. This mild weather is saving a lot of bales.

That is all native grass with the dominant species (and the close up) being Plains Rough Fescue. It is probably the ultimate climax species in this area but you won't see much of it. It is the real "prairie wool". Most native range around here runs hard to Blue Grama through no fault of its' own.

Gcreek - we could use a little snow to save the walking to water bit for the cows. Don't worry about Blondie, her sense of humor makes it very difficult to get a picture :lol: .
