Thanks for the pictures, country sure is pretty,
Nice you guys got to meet up, we have "Known" each other on ranchers for so long
it's nice when friends get to meet friends.

Here is a little point of interest that I seemed to remember and had to Google to answer my own question:

In 1910, Baker City residents voted to change the name of the town to Baker, but after another vote in 1989 the official name was changed back to Baker City.

A little more trivia:
We met some people from Baker City, Oregon that bought a ranch at Baker, Mt. :D

I had forgotten that. It had to have been a shock to go from your pretty country to the wide open spaces.
He passed away and she left, but I lost track of where she wound up.

And I met Nicky and Mike the very next day. Being new here I have been over their direction yet. Their corner of the county looks a lot nicer than my corner.

I think your corner is probably pretty nice too!

Mine is pretty steep. I guess the sign on the road through my property that says watch out for bighorn sheep should have been a clue. But I am loving it here. Wish I had moved here 40 years ago.

Well, a hop skip and jump away. Seems like the summer of 2019 was kind of that way. One Internet acquaintance from Nebraska took a trip to the Oregon Coast. I found out too late, tried to make a connection. We just couldn't.
