Every day before I go feed I have to make sure this crazy chicken isn't trying to hitch a ride. She's road along more than once. The bad thing is if she unloads in the wrong spot I have a bad time catching her.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Those are sure nice Bulls. I doubt they have it to rough, judging from appearances. Nice shot of the Sangre de Cristos at sunrise. The red cast shows good reason for the naming of them. I've been missing your pics. Quite the hitchhiker you have.

Beautiful hereford bulls! I too love the scenery at your place. Hope ya winter well and have a bumper crop of healthy calves! If our hens roosted on the differential they'd soon become coyote poop! Ya better have a talk with her for her own good! :D

Thank ya Ned! Very pretty area of Colorado that grows a little grass. :D I have to agree with the "nice bulls" part. Awful good set of Hereford cattle. Almost makes me want to go red and white. Almost.

Great looking Cows...between your herefords and Nicky's it's fun to see a herd like that...also I always luv to see the countryside in your neck of the woods..Thanks

Great pictures, thank you! It sure is pretty there, and your critters (even the chicken  ) look great.

Merry Christmas

Thanks Shortgrass. I like to see them with the red cast when they're covered in snow the most. One of these mournings I may have to brave the early mourning cold and get a picture of them like that.

Thanks everyone. :D Hope you all had a nice Christmas.

Chicken stew anyone?

That day may come yet. I forgot to check for that stupid chicken this mourning and it came out while we fed, about four miles from home. I think we chased that chicken around for over an hour before we caught it. She would have been coyote poop by mourning for sure if we didn't catch her. I hated to shoot her on Chrismas mourning.

Too bad someone hadn't been there with a video camera.

That chicken would be impressed if she knew you used her to build up an appetite so you could eat one of her cousins.

You might put a dip-net behind the seat.......could save a lot of time........another cowboy sport, polo chicken with a pick-up.

Maybe that old hen is trying to hatch you a new ride. Very nice Herefords.

If that works for ya Ned, I'd like to borrow her from ya next winter. Ya won't have to chase her around! I mean she must be a pretty special hen.

I never thought I be caught dead chasing a chicken around the field. Those two dogs I pictured are always humping each other while we drive down the road. Can you imagine the sight we must be with those two dogs and a chicken resting on the rear end? :D When my Amish neighbors see that they'll say "and they call us hicks". :D

That bull picture right before the mountain scene, WOW those are some good lookin' cattle. Tell me more about your program, you can PM me if you want to.

Good photos of country & cattle Ned. I always enjoy seeing photos from your side of the Sangres. Still smiling about you chasin' after that dang chicken. Just remember we're laughing with you, not at you.

when you was chasin the chicken, were you swingin a loop or just trying to run it over with the feed truck? :D
Thanks for the pictures
