Here's a Golden eagle that decided to fly away just as I took it's picture. They like to dine on the prairie dogs.

The only cow left in the herd still sporting horns.

The bull I've been running with heifers (6152), hurt his wiener last week. I've been giving him Bute, Penicillin and running cold water over it. You wouldn't even know he was injured now but he's out for the season. I split his group between my 175 bull and 6050. I think 6152 had most of his bred already but I'm sure I'll find out if 6050 will work on heifers or not. Here's 6050 at work.

I found this picture in my photo album. It was taken a few years ago.

Good looking hereford's you have.If you get sick of that bull I've got a bunch of black cows for him.

Ned Jr., you live in a beautiful part of the world. That is a nice set of Hereford cows, and the bull bulges in all the right places. Thanks for the pictures.

By the way, that last photo especially is of calendar quality. Glad you dug it up from your archives.

Nice looking herefords.

This year we are putting some hereford bulls on our black angus ladies. We are all anxious to see the offspring in the spring.

Thanks. This is my first year using him. I'm looking forward to seeing the results. Here's the cow he's out of.

Sure is a solid set of cows. Country looks good. Send some of those black clouds on over the prairie one of these days!!

Thanks Shortgrass. I was hoping you'd post saying you've been getting all kinds of rain. We've had over an inch in the last week. It sure helped things out around here. Hope you get some soon.

Thank you. I've been striving to produce the kind of Herefords top commercial cattlemen like yourself will appreciate. Glad you like them.

Hey, Ned! How you been? Looks like the snow up high finally started melting, huh?

I'm doing alright, how you been. Most of the snow in the mountains gone now. It's suppose to get up to 80 degrees here today.

That sounds like a great plan. I don't see how you can go wrong. Ad some hybrid vigor, and those black baldy replacement females will be hard to beat. Plus black baldy steers can go into CAB or CHB.

LOL, you have my pick-up.....

The pickup belongs to the man I bought the bull from. I'd be very surprised but I guess he may have stole your pickup   ... you need to call the Nebraska police not the Colorado police.

Ned Jr-

WET MOUNTAIN VALLEY!! Lies between Greenhorn Mountain (West of Pueblo) and the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Wooley Mammoth area millions of years ago! What a beautiful country. I remember that entire valley from about 58 years ago! Dream country for beef cattle! You are fortunate beyond words!

High quality Beef Cattle, Ned. You are a knowledgable breeder. Good to talk to you again.

Great pictures!!! 6050 is sure looking good. I'll let you know how big the calves are so you'll be prepared  Your country and critters all look great.

We are visiting Wisconsin this week, Ned, but I talked to the fella that is feeding for me, and he said he had 1/2 inch yesterday. He is 4 miles east of us, so hopefully we had a shower also. We havent had 1/2 inch at once since last August. Soapweed, I asked the pilot to set her down at Merriman, but he just looked at me funny like.
