We had time to take a few pictures the last couple weeks so we thought we would post a couple. We are thinking the first colt is a buckskin but somebody that saw him a couple of weeks ago called him a grula (spelling)

I'm whistling through my teeth. My oh my. Those are some great colts,
cows, calves and bulls.

That first colt, doesn't matter his color (I say buckskin), he's an EYE POPPER for sure! How is he bred?????

I really like your wheels, and your Corgi, too, of course.

Thanks for sharing.

:tiphat:

Nice...the colt is a buckskin ...pretty..a Grula is mouse grey all over...I have always seen them with a stripe down their back and stripes on thier legs...the mane and tail...are also mouse grey..

Wow, it all looks good. Love the truck and nice color on the cattle.

I'd call him a buckskin too but who knows where he'll end up-I ran a Grulla stud once but can't find his pic. That mottled red on that bull is supposed to mean high fertility!!

An uncle once told me that when cattle prices are good anyone can sell their cattle, but when prices go down you will have to have quality to attract more than one bidder. Quality will keep you in the business. Looks to me like you would agree with that. Nice stock, equine and bovine.

Lazy Ace, by the looks of your brand and location, you must be Pederson Broken Heart Ranch. How is the stone church standing these days, I believe we used to pass by your ranch sign on the way there from Klein. I haven't been in that country for a few years - things look good there this year.

Thanks for the compliments we have been pretty busy haying and breeding cows but things have slowed down a little to take pictures and post some of them.

It sure is fun to see everyone's pictures and I always learn different things from everyone else that posts on this sight.

The Old Stone Church had some well needed work done to it a couple years back and looks better than ever now. It sure is amazing how well built it is and how beautiful it is. We have had a couple of good summers for forage and we aren't complaining any.

The roan is a big pet he comes up to the yard looking for attention at least once a night.

I kind of figured someone would find the polaris in the background. they are handy outfits for going short distances.

I thought that first colt would be a buckskin but we have been getting a lot of different colors from our palimino stud. Faster Horses our stud is a Frenchman's guy son out of a triple A mare. The black mare is a thoroughbred cross mare that is raising some nice colts from our stud.

have a good one

I knew about the Frenchman's Guy stud you own, and you also have some Special Effort mares, right? I think TTB and I talked about that because our horse trainer friend in Texas really likes that cross. He trains barrel horses and I think that's one of his favorite crosses. A friend of his, Kim Thomas, has a Frenchmans GuyxSpecial Effort stallion.

I'd like to come and see that stone church. I have an affinity
stone buildings for some reason. I really like seeing the ones along
the highway in SD.

Looking good Lazy Ace!

Green grass fat cows and calves and good looking horses!

I like that color pattern on the bull. The last bull I had as a herd sire with that pattern was not as fertile as he could have been himself but his daughters had tremendous fertility and longevity.

Is that the Golden Boy bull?

Dylan that is actually TNT Bank statement and the cows are Logan 734 b daughters. The one calf is a bank statement calf out of a golden boy daughter but I didn't get the whole cow in the picture. I have some golden boy pictures on the camera I will try and get put in a pm to you one of these days.

JF Ranch we are part of a production sale called Dakota Breeders Classic that is held in Mobridge in September. Our goal is to get sale catalog pictures this weekend and I will post some more hopefully next week. We really need a good picture of our stud and if we get one we will put that on also. http://www.pedersonbhr.com/ We have some past catalogs and mare pictures online. http://www.bhrfrenchiessocks.com/ (this is another Frenchmans guy stud we raised and sold through billys sale as a yearling)

Thanks

have a good one
