Cargill to cut back production at 7 beef plants
Friday, March 4, 2005, 2:24 PM

by John Perkins

Cargill says they plan to cut back production at seven beef plants due to poor demand and a lack of available slaughter ready cattle. Many of Cargill's slaughter operations had been running at reduced levels for several months. Company officials also cited the indefinite closure of the U.S. border to Canadian cattle as a factor. The affected plants are in Schuyler, Nebraska; Milwaukee Wisconsin; Fort Morgan, Colorado; Dodge City, Kansas; Wyalusing, Pennsylvania and Plainview and Friona, Texas.

Cargill has not stated when the cuts will begin, what they entail or how long they will last.

maybe you and your buddies should buy a packing plant then your friends and enemies could be the same people!!
