I took my horse Wyatt for a trail ride almost 3 weeks ago. A couple of days later he had an absess in his left front leg, and a day later got one on his right front. I soaked it 3 times a day for about a week and it just wasn't blowing through. So I decided to try using shredded potatoes for a poltice. I heard from a really old guy over a year ago about it and I thought he was stupid to be honest, but it worked the absess on his left leg blew through, his right leg took 2 days but he's all better now. The vet and farrier said he's going to need pads and shoes for at least 2 months.
