Prayers needed again

For those of you who remember Flying S, his kids were in a car accident and the 12 yr old boy is bad shape. Badly bruised brain, heart and lungs. He is on a ventilator and is sedated for a couple days. They are Christians and would appreciate the prayers.

Good news! They let him wake up and he knows them and follows commands. Still quite sedated and has the ventilator still in. But even the doctor said he is pleasantly surprised. Think the heart is the big concern now. God is good.

Amen. God has a plan. Even if it's hard for us mortals to see it.

The breathing tube is out and he is fully awake and coherent!!

Keep praying, they are having ups and downs, which is to be expected. The drain on his brain quit draining yesterday so had to get it unplugged. He'd gone from full sentences to one word replies and was in alot of pain. Hopefully have that taken care of.

Brain injuries are so uncertain. We have dealt with that and it is truly frightening.
Continued prayers from here for the young fella and his family.

Still not full sentences but gets his point across. Can sing along with songs he knows, sat up almost by himself, has started PT. His aunt asked him if she should stay with him or go to church and he said 'come with' .

He is doing well, our of PICU, into normal pediatrics. Will go to rehab in a day or so. Walking to PT, can go pee, take a shower...all things he wanted to cross off his list. God is good and hopefully he will be fine. They thank everyone for the prayers.

I spoke too soon. The pressure in the brain increased, had to put the drain back in, is back in ICU and on the ventilator again.

Brain injuries are difficult. There is no rhyme nor reason to what happens.
Praying he gets off the ventilator again.
