OT----read about his tragedy in the Butte paper about half hour ago!! Know that I am sending prayers from the Madison Valley.....along with prayers from all my co-workers today!!! Sooooo sad.....

An update-- Just to show you how these little local little communities come together- Besides the 709 responses they've received on the website of support-- today I was at the local sale barn where they sold about a dozen calves that had been donated by individual ranches to go toward the fund the community and the northern ag network have set up for the family... Some were sold and donated back for resale...

And it was kind of a last minute- unadvertised deal that many weren't aware of- or else I'm sure many more would have donated......

The topper was- that many of these cattle buyers ( that some've thought for years have no heart or conscience ) - had their hands going wild bidding up the calves offered

Heres an update Younkins posted on another site:

We are overwhelmed by everyones support and generosity. We appreciate everyones thoughtfulness and continued prayers for our family.

Today we attended the funeral of our friend and Son Garrett. We celebrated his life with a gymnasium full of family and friends. We will always miss Garrett but appreciate the time we had with him. We were blessed to be chosen to be his parents.

Cache is healing and has the wheelchair mastered. We got him into the shower the other day and I am not sure who enjoyed it more (him or us).

Cadence is making improvement daily. She has opened her eyes first for the Doctor and Nurse then for her boyfriend. We are still waiting to see it. She is working hard at coming out of her coma. She is breathing on her own and shows much purposeful movement.

Cordell(8yrs old) perhaps said it best, "We are all going to Heaven, Garrett just gets to be there longer"

Chase has been the Rock our family is leaning on. He is a wonderful young man. He has been there for all of us.

Thank you all for your continued prayers. This has been a difficult journey made easier by the support of our friends.

The Denver stock show embryo auction is pretty well lined out-- and I was told last night that the donated embryo/semen auction on the Advantage Cattle website had topped $13,000 raised already...
