My buddy from Ontario got this buck with his muzzie last night. I think this is a pretty good field pic-brag brag lol.

Emily and I went out last night and propped him up for pictures this A'M-I had his head kind of stuck on top of a propane cylinder for a BBQ. Hopefully the kids get on one of the big bucks up here. Ty just missed hooking up with this guys big bro this A'M. Leanin' I'd trade you a whitie for a mulie hunt in a heartbeat if the regs let me.

He's a nice buck for sure but the pose looks kinda Gay to me he would have looked much better if photos would have been taken before rigor set in around here he'd have been skun out before he got that stiff.

I'll defer to your superior knowledge of what's gay lol. We skin ours out right away too but my friend wanted a pic the next day and I wasn't going to skin it out last night in a rain storm. Kind of a big commotion over a little buck as far as I'm concerned.

Ty have some time off from school now? That would be the tough thing about school that far away no family and no hunting.

What time of day does it get dark up there this time of year here its a bit after 7 pm.Down to 11 hours of daylight now.

We ended up getting one bear so far my Genex rep got it so he was pretty excited. He comes from the prairie's of Wyoming so he'd never even seen one before.I've been to busy lately to go out I have 3 weeks left so I'll get some more stand time. We've got ton's of berries and acorn's this year so they've been tough baiting they hit about every 3rd day. We've got one old boar on trail cam he hit's around 10:30 pm and spends an hour there each time those trail cam's are pretty cool.

I was wondering if they'd bait in the fall-usually we try and find some standing ots that they're getting into and just spot and stalk. Had a fun morning playing hide and seek with an absolute hog in some 5 foot high oats last year. When he dropped down on all fours you could only tell where he was by the steam from his breath. I only had one shot for my muzzie so didn't take him head on at fifteen yards-coward huh lol. Were maybe 12 hours of daylight now-Ty missed hunting more than his old man I think. Only has a couple more days to hunt before he goes back-I doubt he'll shoot anything under 150 though. Do you ever use beaver for bait? They go crazy for it here-wonder why lol.

I have'nt used beaver I know pork fat after its been cooked from roast, ham, bacon etc mixed with oats etc. We use alot of licorice and sweets we have a candy factory 50 miles from here you can buy it in 40# boxes for $7 each sweet corn works sometimes but I don't have much luck with it. This year green apple licorice and grape licorice were the candy of choice. One year we got 3 pickup loads of candy there was alot of fancy chocolates that never seen a bear  We can buy old bread at the bread store for 15 cents a loaf cheap pancake syrup for $6 a gallon open a bag up pour in some syrup and let it sit for a day they really like that concoction.Anything dipped in honey works also but I did'nt have access to any this year.
