What is the current price of Hog Panels in AB or Sask. I almost wet myself when I looked today and found them to be $42.00 per panel! I paid $ 22.00 last spring Yikes.

They might be called stock panels in some areas? They are a wire mesh panel that is about 16 feet long. Usually used on pig farms but I am seeing them more on goat farms now. They are quite flexible and make fantastic greenhouses. That's what i use them for anyhow.

heres a link http://www.stockyardsupply.com/page3/index.htm The prices on the link are a what i am used to paying but maybe in Canada they have really gone up?

What do you use them for jigs? Cage for Katrina?

(just incase anyone misunderstands me I mean they are strong enough to keep her in, I wasnt calling her a hog)

Im quite sure a Federated Co-op in Saskatchewan would handle those panels. I can remember seeing them not too long ago for $22 a panel at our co-op.

That's what i am used to paying so you can imagine my surprise (shock, horror) when I saw the price tag on them! I would rather pay for the horse panels if I am going to pay that price. There is a fellow in Alberta that sells unpainted utility grade horse panels for 50.00 each. Now if I can only find his web site again.....

I don't use them for critters. If you bow them they make great shelters or greenhouses. I used them when they were cheap but for the higher dollar I can just use PVC pipe. Then just buy horse panels for portable runways and of course electric to divide paddocks. Unfortunatley the stud doesnt respect electric at all and need a 7 foot high paddock. Grumble grumble. He can just about step over anything. Doesnt need to jump he's so tall. Just putting together materials for the move so I don't have a huge chunk of cash to put out all at once.
