Progress???

How many souls did they need to make 'city' status?
Seems to me Ft. St. John got city status around 12,000 or so, but I may be wrong.

Soooo.... it'll be a while yet before the sky scrapers block out the sun in the downtown? :P

At one time we had the largest inland storage capacity in Canada 9 or 10 big elevators-now of course we have none. Pretty good place to live all you really want store and recreation wise but no Tim Horton's or WalMart which is all right by me.

As long as there is a good ranch supply store there's really not much more to ask for.
It was a sad day when Wally opened up his shop here.

The local Co-op has pretty much everything I need to run my place-the vet carries salt/mineral etc. Two equipment dealers-three car dealers so were fixed pretty good.

So I put my Timmies at the east end of town and I put my fast food outlet at the west end of town - I get you guys coming and going.

Then I put the profit into some land around there - providing there are no aboriginal claims issues - and I should be able to leave my daughters a pretty penny when I am dead and gone.

One bad thing about the new status change - it just proves you cannot stop progress - if you can call it that.

Cheers

BC
