Here is what we have been working on for the last couple weeks. Coming from the father-in-law's place. Plans are to close it all in, and install some stalls for calving, as well as having a loafing area. Part of it will be a shop too, and we plan on building a small insulated room for storing stuff as well as thawing out the odd cold calf. It will sure be nice to have next March, especially if it is cold. Our old barn only has 5 stalls, not nearly enough when we get a cold snap at calving. It is 32' x 56'.

Just about ready to go

Had to cut the fence and pull a few posts to get it there.

Looks like it will be a great addition to any yard. Is that Hallam that was moving it? He is quite the accomplished mover around these area's.

So did the trucker manage to shed his load?

If he snuffed it going up a hill, would that count as one of your stalls?

Gives a whole new meaning to "drive in" shed.

And portable calving shed.

Looks like that building got "high jacked".

Was it a pole shed? Are you putting it on cement?

Ace won't recognize the yard. :D

Yes, it was a pole shed. We thought about cement, but between cement and moving, we would have been getting close to what a new one would cost. We just set it down on blocks and then put posts in to tie it to.

Speaking of Ace, how is he doing. The one we kept, Rip is looking to be a pretty good dog. And the Chocolate one went to some people out in your area too, can't remember their name at the moment though....
