Publishing Cowboy Poetry

Folks,
Perhaps those with bigger connections and more knowledge can help me out with this one. I have been putting together a little collection of poetry. I've been told I have a bit of a knack for it, so I'd like to try and start getting some of it read beyond Casper College. Any ideas of some places that would accept some samples and give a kid a shot at publishing some stuff on a regular basis?

You have a couple different options. You can publish them yourself, in which case check at the college. If its really good, or if you are in the right spot, you might get a publisher interested in it. That way is tougher, but they will either buy your book, or give you a percentage of the sales.
Just stuff I have found out over the years.

I can get you the names of some of the small publishers, but then you are still self publishing them. My dad just published a book, and it really wasn't all that expensive. Where the cost gets involved, is when you start trying to do lots of color photos, like what Mustang was trying to do with a coffee table book.
Those get expensive fast.
