Pure Country

Mark Campbells buck netted 177 Boone and Crockett-typical-his second book deer in three years-I told him the heck with HRM conferences maybe he should be putting on hunting seminars. Some huge deer at the horn scoring last night-a 225 Nontyp. mulie looked pretty sweet too. There was one whitetail netted just over 200 typical too.

I'd love to have been there for that. Last week at the Grazing Conference in Edmonton, the Alberta Professional Outfitters Society was having their annual meeting/party/bandstand/drunken binge. So after we got back to the Mayfield from supper with Kit Pharo, we met up with some of the wife's 'outlaws' that guide in North Western Alberta. What a party to be at!! Great food, lots of drinks, and 1 or 2 deer skulls on every table. All I did all night was go around with the cousins scoring horns. It was awesome!

There was a couple of non-typical whitetails over 200, a couple 190-ish typicals, and a couple of non-typical Mulie hogs.
