Can someone remember a thread, probably in the last couple of months, that mentioned an outfit in the US that were running some kind of cooperative venture that organised people with market ready fat animals and matched them with consumer demand? It was organised through the processor I think and maybe a local county/state was involved? I kind of think RobertMac posted it or commented about it. I really want to re-read that post and see how it was set-up.
Thanks :-)

Not sure that I understand if this is what you are looking for, but Thousand Hills and Tall Grass are two operations that work with producers to sell grassfed cattle. I also mentioned to a Texan about Ted Slanker at Slanker Grassfed Beef doing the same.

Hmmm maybe it wasn't you RobertMac. It wasn't about any of these beef selling companies it was about a more basic set up - seems like it was a local government or local county backed operation that did the organisational bit between matching suppliers with the demand for product. It was definitely a co-op type deal with the sellers paying a commission to the organisers if I remember it right. I've looked through most of our lengthy threads and can't find it - I'm sure the person who posted it would remember what I'm talking about. Thanks anyway.
