We ship our calves on Nov 7th, and haven't Bangs vaccinated the heifer calves yet. If we sort off the steer pairs and Bangs the heifers two days prior to shipping do you think we'll notice any weight difference due to the stress? I'm not worried about the steers as they and their moms will go right out onto hay. The heifers will be in the corral for a few hours.

FWIW - we always prevacc a couple of weeks ahead of weaning and if the folks at the back of the chute are kind of quiet about it, I am not sure you will see much difference. If you have a rodeo type of crew, that is a very different story.

We prevacced quite awhile ago, didn't have the ability to Bangs vacc then so that's why we still have to do it. Don't want them home too long before shipping as we'll have to feed hay while they are here. Could do it on sat instead of monday if it would be worth it.
