R-CALF USA and one of its affiliate organizations, the Montana Cattlemen's Association (MCA), will host "Cattlemen's Day" at the Northern Hotel in Billings, Mont. Events begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, and at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12.
R-CALF USA President and Co-Founder Leo McDonnell and R-CALF USA Director of Government Relations Jess Peterson will speak on Saturday, Nov. 12. Other key speakers include: Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer, Apollo 8 Astronaut Frank Borman, and John J. VanSickle, Ph.D., an agriculture economics professor who also serves as director of the International Agricultural Trade and Development Center at the University of Florida.
R-CALF USA works on various issues that affect independent U.S. cattle producers, such as country-of-origin labeling, livestock price reporting, captive supplies and packer ownership of livestock, and animal health concerns, as well as various trade agreements.

Faith Livestock Commission Co. will host its second fall R-CALF USA fund-raiser around 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, in Faith, S.D. R-CALF USA and the South Dakota Stockgrowers Association (SDSGA) will host a joint meeting at 6 p.m. in the sale barn lobby. A free dinner will be provided. R-CALF USA National Field Coordinator Natasha Bentz will be available for questions.
