BMR...Where have I responded to Nebrusker? I don't hate the US cattleman I worry for them and the corner that R-CALF is backing us all into.

I do not know if you have responded to Nebrusker in this forum or not BMR, and the old archives of the other forum I cannot find, so if you did not ever respond to Nebrusker I apologise.
I do not know Lloyd DeBrucker or Pat Goggins, but Pat seems to be a successfull business man. Is that what you hold against him? DeBrucker bought cattle in Canada didn't he? I guess you didn't care for his money.

You Canadians are hoping we will find a homegrown case of BSE to take the heat off of your 4 Canadian origin cases. All from the same Province, right? In my opinion you should have to test every one that you want us to take, not just a small percentage.

Once again!!!!!!!!!!! NO THEY WERE NOT ALL FROM THESAME PROVINCE.

ALL ORIGINATED FROM THE SAME AREA IN ALBERTA

Tommy go to the old home page and you can access the archives. You can look hard and long and you won't find me spreadding hatered towards Nebrusker. while you are there you won't find me wanting the US to find a case of BSE. You might find where I said if or when they find one but not me wanting them to as I would be happy if I never heard of BSE ever again..

As far as Pat and Lloyd I don't care if they come to Canada and buy all or none of the cattle. It is the hypocrical way that R-Calf and it's supports call Canadian beef tainted and it shouldn't ever be let into the US then when it looks like some money is to be made who's the first to try and cash in. I am happy for you Tommy if your a player like Pat who's own secreatry describes him as a man with millions of dollars and thousands of head of cattle. Congrats to Pat he might lose some money but noy likely the home place when all of R-CALF's muck they have spread comes home to haunt the Grassroots cattleman. :cowboy:

Why would I wish the US cattle industry ill as we in Canada live and die with it just like you.

Some else said all the cows came from the same area. Get out a map . North western Sask, southern Albert, North central Alberta. One Angus. One Charolais. two Holstein

I am a small rancher who also does custom hay baling, that is all. You were the one who called Lloyd and Pat and others like him dirt, I take exception to that. It just gets under my skin that we cannot have an honest disagreement without someone calling someone a name or saying bad things about them.
I feel bad for the Canadians who have suffered over this BSE issue, but I do not want to risk our market if Canada ships us BSE. Test them all and label everything from Canada so consumers would know the difference.

The first Angus cow originated in the McCrae purebred herd at Baldwinton and the last time I checked it was still in SASKATCHEWAN
(Saa-scatch-ooo-won) which by the way is another province.

Tommy- agree with your last post whole heartedly. Feel for our Canadian neighbors. Test 'em all and let the consumers and trade partners decide.

As far as our Canadian neighbors, that $200 per head to winter their cows is about $200 more than any US rancher will get this year to winter his cows.

I'll make you a deal. You give me back all the money I lost when the US illegally closed its border under the NAFTA agreement and you can have all those big cheques that I got from the government to help me through BSE. Deal?

Tommy read it again. I didn't call Pat and Lloyd dirt. I said if they are Grass root producers what does that make the rest ,dirt? the guys that do there own chores, custom bale to make owning a baler fesable. the guys when these big guys manipulate the market get hurt. I understand the these guys are successful and good for them but for everyone of them there are 100's that are living a fine line and need everything they can make to keep going. Those are the ones I see really hurt "IF and WHEN" BSE is found in the US. Because R-CALF has so sensitized the consumer to BSE when as a health risk it is not a danger. :cowboy:

I find it humerous to see many (even Canadians) say "IF" BSE is found in the US. It is not a question of IF because it already has been found and the Japanese and many others know it. The question is WHEN will the next one be announced and WHEN will the first NATIVE born case be found. I think the USDA and those who will actually be making the decision on the border reopening believe that as well.

Old Timer,

Thanks for sharing your website. I enjoyed perusing through it.

PPRM- My wife thru it together, with some help from Macon, while she was laid up after her hip replacement surgery-- Finally got it updated a little with the new colts- Going to try and take some to a horse sale in April, so needed to get them on the site......

You would not believe the people I've met from the site- even found relatives in Nevada and England that I didn't know existed.....

Heck, if folks will admit to being related, I always take that as an indication of doing something right, lol.

Which Horse Sale in April? I will probably be taking some photo's of mine just out of general interest. Nothing for sale, usually makes them woth more you know, lol.

Which Horse Sale in April?

The local yards is putting together a horse sale April 21 after the McRae and Wittkop bull sales- I don't know what they'll get for consigments, but I took them in a list of at least 8 I'm selling- mostly 2003 and 2004 foals...

I've just lost all my help- all graduating and moving away... I used to keep 2 or 3 of each age to ride and that way had a little of everything around for sale- but any more with just me, a lot of times I can't keep them all worked......

I thought it was kind of fitting and ironic that she planned this sale at the same time as McRaes sale- since all my mares go back to an old Ross mare sired by Charley Duster, a stallion raised by Charlie McRae.......
