Rain.....

Yes I do believe Haymaker should be gettin wet as well. Seems to be fairly widespread throughout the state.

And very welcome I might add. Even tho it would have done more good a few months earlier....it's still welcome.

We've gotten about 7 inches this week..........LOL We have hay that we could be cuttin.....but we'll hafta wait till we get some nice sunshine before that happens.

It's been raining here since yesterday. Almost beat the rain at the hay field. Am hoping it dries out enough next week to sprrad out the windrows and get them dry.

Supposed to rain off and on all week. Gotten a little over an inch since noon yesterday.

Oats is planted, some is up. Got a little hay cut baled and in the barn before it started. Pastures and cattle haven't been in this good of shape in several years although the number is fewer. Haven't had to feed any hay since early July. I've got at least one more patch of bermuda I'd like to get baled. Some more stuff I could bale but can turn the cows on just the same. I guess cooler weather to stop the army worms and grasshoppers would be the next blessing even at the expense of grass growth in the pastures.

I had 9" of rain in the middle two weeks of Sept.(normally less than 2" all month). Dried up enough for me to plant 20 of my 80 acres of grass. Rain started again this morning. I don't need anymore...right now.

It's friday, and floodin here today. At one point this mornin, I could hardly see the trees out in front of my house because it was rainin so hard. My front yard was filled with water...standin. We've gotten a break at the moment, but by the looks of radar there's another wave of it comin.

Been raining before daybreak and still raining. Definitly going to put water in the tanks this time. Probably fill them up for the first time in 2 years.

Our rain was a little solid last night....Temp got down to 10 at the north place-- and have about 2" of snow....
Sun came out today-but temp is still only 25 degrees and the wind is 30+ mph which puts a chill to the air...

Normal "homecoming parade" weather...The Queen and her court will have to wear parkas and toques over their strapless gowns..

2 inches and counting since it started this mornin. Went to town a while ago....tanks are over flowin, bottoms out. And it's still pourin.

Looks like you have more coming, according to the radar. We haven't received near as much but now that the hay is off the ground and stored, the rain is welcome :-) . The temp was around 83 F earlier and now it's down to 66. Should get down to 60 - low enough to drag a blanket out of the closet  .

so since thursday before last, We have gotten 15 inches of rain. I drilled some wood posts for some light poles on my round pen the tuesday before that. all the rain has floated the posts about 3 inchs up and loosened the packed dirt. looks like im gonna have to concrete the posts in the ground now. Hopefully, the north winds will come and dry us out quick.
