RAIN

Hey jigs have you been getting some rain. I got a bunch of friends around the Lincoln area whining about not being able to get work done cause its to wet. There has at least been some storms around here but none have hit us. People about ten miles away have had up to three inches past couple weeks but we just got enough to make the winshield dirty. Maybe our turn is next.

Wow, I can't imaging getting those amounts of rain. And that hailstorm sounded freaky, how could anything live through that?

We got 1/2" last friday, gave us some breathing room on deciding if we should quit irrigating the grass hay to save water for the alfalfa and grain hay under the pivot. Sure hope we get more this week.

We have been REALLY lucky! We got another 1.5 last night at ranch. So far at the ranch we have had 3.5 inches since Thursday. Nice slow rain. We have a nice sized lease 45 minutes east of us that as of yesterday afternoon it has had right close to 4 inches and then it rained all night. We have another lease 20 miles west of us and as of yesterday noon they had 3.5 inches or so and then it rained all afternoon and night as well. It really filled dams up and will make grass and hay. Gotta love it!!!

We had 5" of rain here at Whitewood at 1 pm yesterday and it has rained steady since then. As for the hailstorm, now I find those folks new house
also flooded and they are having to move everything out of it.

I hope you get more rain, Nicky. This has been a Godsend for us in MT, WY,
ND, SD, NE, and any and all the drought areas. I do think this has been
a drought breaker. We really haven't had much moisture since July of 2011.

Am I reading this right.. You have had 5 inches of rain at your place since 1:00 yesterday afternoon??? If so, boy it must have really been coming down. Talk about filling some things up in a hurry! Good for you!

Oh no, BRG. That was from Saturday. The neighbor here had 1.8 then got another .2 and then yesterday at 1 pm he had another 3" in his rain gauge.
Sorry if I confused anyone. This was my second post on this thread talking
about rain amounts. Truthfully, I wouldn't want 5" of rain since yesterday at
1 pm.

Just checked with the neighbors near Baker, they said 4.1" there so far.
The answer to prayers. I feel badly for those who got hail and for those
folks in Oklahoma. Sounds like there could be more bad weather on its way for them. I hope not. Stay safe, everyone.

We are sitting right at 5 inches since Thursday morning. We have had as much rain in 5 days as we had all of last year.

We got dumped on. Almost two inches in less than an hour. Plus over an inch earlier. We planted 5000 trees last Monday and some washed out. Still trying to get sprifng wheat and alfalfla planted as we had lots of winter kill. On one good note the creek crossing didn't was out and cows and calves were swimming acorss the creeks.. Will be good moisture for sedan grass, corn and sunflowers.

Rain and snow coming down here. Managed to plant a 40 acre field to oats yesterday before it started. Looks like today is just going to be a nice relaxing rain day, the first of the year.
