Still bare here. -2 F this morning.

Calves got out of here Friday morning. Preg test is done. Working replacements today. Wishing I'd remembered the camera when we were sorting and loading.

Maybe the guy that bought them will send me some photos sometime.

Congratulations on getting your calves shipped. I hope everything went okay
and that they weighed heavy. Did you ever find the 14 head you were short?

We are bare here too. Our hunting friends from Washington State came Friday and it was too muddy
that day to get out but the wind blew and it
was fine on Saturday. In fact, one got a nice buck Saturday morning.

Jody, you can keep all that snow... :D Has it come early, or do you usually
have snow by now?

Calling for snow here late Monday night into Tuesday, which is probably the snow you guys are getting. Would like the moisture but cutting like crazy to get most of our milo out of the field before the snow hits. Scary when you have 30% of your field lying down from some of the strong wind we had.

Still bare here. We had a skiff last night but it's gone now.

Them Southerners just aren't livin' right are they Silver?

FH, we are still out 2 pairs and 3 bulls that we hope to find. We know of one cow and 4 calves that were definately killed by wolves. Another 10 calves and a yearling heifer gone and mostly assume they met the same fate.

Our preg test was the worst in years with 7.5% empty and another 4% later than our preferred 50 day calving period. This is mostly due to predators also.

Didn't mean to steal your thread Jody.
