I heard storys that back in thre thritys some of the big places in eastern Wyoming that were not hurting would fill up a sheep camp wagom with flour, suger, lard, and coffee and set them on township corners. the supplies would slowly dissappear and they restock. Thing was most of the homesteaders didn't make it anyway and the big places slowly got bigger.
