One of the members of ranchers.net attended our branding on May 18.
I had never met him before, and he's a really good and helpful guy.
We talked, and we thought it might be fun to have a MYSTERY MAN
contest here. So, here's some pic's of him (in the red hat and shirt).
See if you can guess who he is on ranchers.net. If you don't figure it out, I will give you some hints. Later, of course.

30 miles NW of Glendive,

nothing here yet, but looks promising.
we've been having a good spring but a little more couldn't hurt!! :D :D

actually it's been so dry for so long that maybe we're having a poor spring, but it just looks good in comparison!!

Yep. I know what you mean.
Here's our forecast from NWS, Billings:

Tonight: Thunderstorms before 9pm, then showers and thunderstorms between 9pm and midnight, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 49. Southeast wind 22 to 25 mph becoming west southwest 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

We were only at 60% earlier...so this is good...

Smells like rain here- getting dark- they're predicting a 70% chance for the night including some heavy rain with the possibility of an inch :D I hope it gets here...Be perfect time....

Wheat is all seeded- my last heifer calved today- and upset my record of not having to pull a calf this year... I had two heifers that went over the May 15th cutoff date- when I'd moved them down to the community pasture, so knew they weren't probably bred by our bulls...Bulls in the community pasture are Chars, SimmiX's and red angus...Well a couple days ago the first one calved- a grey 90 lb bull calf- but she had it on her own...
Todays was a 92 lb grey bull calf- but was kind of a tough pull....But mom and calf both seem to be doing fine....

Your not too far from me since I'm 22 miles north of Terry.

No rain here yet but I hope it gets here, we could use a good soaker.

We got over 1/2 an inch out of a little thunderstorm that rolled thru last evening- and now this morning its drizziling out again :D

It sure should get those wheat fields and grass to coming up...

Looks like we got 1/2 inch as well. I'll take all it will give me.

Nothing here, looks like another dry year shaping up. Only moisture so far has been a bit of snow this spring :?
Might have to move down to OT's part of the world where you actually get moisture from time to time. :?

Well we'll sure take all we can beg, borrow, or steal... Some of the neighbors already started irrigating the hayfields- we were looking at cleaning ditches tomorrow- but now can wait til I get branded- and the rest of the cows moved to summer grass...

Rain gauge now shows .6 :D

We wound up with .7 and we're so pleased. It was time for a rain here too. South of us, toward Ekalaka, a friend got 1.8, so I guess the
main part of the storm went south of us.

I'm glad for everyone that got moisture out of this system.
Shows sunny and warm for the rest of the week.
