I use Cowbytes but can't remember what I paid for it. It is really good, and even the "pre-entered" feeds are very reasonable estimates of nutrition. I also like the ability to account for mud and wind chill.
I also used to have a low cost spreadsheet application that worked ok, but was a bit more tedious. It may have come included with a copy of the NRC guidelines.
