He must think with the cow skull on the front, the deer will just think he is a brown bovine bouncing through their midst.

Well those pictures got me in the deer huntin mood, guess i better scratch around and see if I can find some cartridges for this ole single shot 270,that boy of yours knows how to live soapweed, looks like he has everything he needs on that scout, including dogs for company :D ..................good luck

Soap....I wish your son, the Village Smithy, would put that nice new shiny wedding ring up somewhere. I know waaaaay to many guys missing that ring finger, whether it was caught on something, or they hit an arc with it and their finger was fried off while welding or attempting to weld.

Jumpins!

I thought they were up to date and modern - that's all we have around our place

Is there any different?

That is a good set up for hunting.

Soap do you know what the metal he used around the top of the rack with the key hole shapes was from?

My dad's brother was friends with the people who ran the Crocket Bit and Spur factory in Colorado. They gave my uncle a lot of their old iron from which spurs, bits, and rowels had been stamped. My son ended up with some of this "decorative" steel and that is what his truck rack is made from. This particular piece may have had bits stamped from it.
