Thats all ive got hope you guys like them fell free to comment on your thoughts.

I already commented on cattletoday.com, but I will again.

They look good. Are they are the Aberle heifers you bought out of Herried, SD a couple years ago?

Sure looks like your winter grazing program is working...they look pretty darn healthy...
I agree...if ya can keep as many replacement heifers as possible..ya can always weed em out later.

That's nice country to run cows in and they look good. Those ridges look pretty 'deery' to me-looks like you might have some good whitetails sharing that pasture.

NR you hit the nail on the head. There is alot a deer in the area i took these pictures in. Way to many if you ask me. Early we chopped are sialge off the bottom ground and drilled clean out wheat in. the wheat grew about 7 inchs and the deer just mowed it off on us. Pretty good hunting though we took off 23 deer the first season. but i think there was 18 guys hunting it.

I like your heifer, unless someones else says otherwise she looks like a keeper.

And the rest of the herd is just as good lookin....an to me, it's kinda strange to see them feilds without any snow.

theres pretty good deer hunting in are area. The big hunting outfits are driving pasture prices up though. Some Timber right behind us in the picture sold for 2950 an acre. Its good i guess it makes are timber worth that as well but it makes it hard for the Farmer/rancher to buy land. 100 acres of crop land sold for 5,200 an acre today.

Land values are getting a bit nuts on that rough stuff... For us it is the folks out of Chicagoland looking for a place to hunt... Rough pasture= bird hunting, trees= deer hunting and with more and more Turkey showing up that is becoming a force too.. Farm land was pretty flat this past year as far as value but with more tax free exchanges and 3.50 corn you will see rent values go up and land values go up.... Up until 3.50 corn you could pencil it out that it made more sense to run cattle, especially with the 1.25 calves... NOt so much anymore, lol... Oh well, at least no one will be collecting CCP's or LDP's this next year, lol.
