RIBEYE CALVES

Nicky, last winter you asked if I had seen or had any ribeye calves. Day before yesterday I went to the Bar JZ bull sale at Holabird SD and they had a group of about 8 or10 of them. They looked liked real easy fleshing cattle,really thick, and deep bodied. My only complaint was that several had scures and to much white. The high selling bull however was a ribeye calf at $8600 and went to Ridder Herefords of Neb. They had a good sale,that averaged $3100 and sold every bull. This is just my opinon so take it for what it is werth. Have a good day. :cboy:

Good to know, we bred 10 cows to him this spring. The scurs won't matter as most of ours are horned anyways. I'm surprised about the white though, he looks pretty shortmarked in his pictures. Dont think we bred him to anything with a whole of white so we shall see. Thanks for the info
