Riding the High Country-----------

Years ago I took some mule guys and my kid on a ride to the Boulder Mountain in south eastern Utah. It a great place to ride. Scattered pine trees and quakies groves with numerous lake and not a lot of under growth. The Boulder is relatively flat on top at an elevation of about 1050 feet.














My oldest son, the only one of four who took to horses.


My favorite lake on the mountain is McGath Lake. When I want to impress my friends, we go to McGath.

Glad you figured out how to post pictures. You were riding in some amazing country. It's on my bucket list to
visit someday. Looks like some nice mules....which you don't see every day!

Don't put that bucket list off until you get old like me, cause your good health doesn't last forever. Then it's a risk to leave the house.

I always wanted to ride a mule down the Grand Canyon but maybe just coming and riding with you would be better. :cowboy: :nod:

I know the guy that runs those mules into Grand Canyon. So if you ever want me to line you up,, let me know. And any time you want to ride in southern Utah, I know some really good trails, and some that will make ya put nothing but toes in the stirrups. :shock: :shock:

Pretty country. Pretty good photographer, too. I bet the hill is more like 10,500 than 1050.
