6pm Saturday Afternoon, the sun was shinin and we were gettin some pretty gusty winds.

Glad we didnt have anything too serious as those to the east of us did. Just wish we coulda got a lil bit more rain, but maybe the cool front that's hoverin near oklahoma will bring us some rain.

Beautiful pictures the_jersey_lily_2000!! (Well, except for the ones with the trees blown over and that strange but imaginative chap)
Hope everyone in Texas, Louisiana and the other states affected are gonna take good care of themselves!!

Glad you made it through!! your friend's survival kit   He must have been a Girl Scout

Enjoyed your pictures, and especially your friend's "survival kit". A lot of cowboys aren't swimmers, because for the most part they haven't grown up around water. For that reason, when cowboys do go swimming, they wear their hats. That way, when the hat is floating on top of the water with no cowboy still connected, any potential rescuers at least have a good idea of where to start their search. :)

thanks for the pictures, glad you all did not get hit too bad. We got more rain out of this weather than you did. Course it is only 38 degrees right now and drizzling. The rain drops almost have that white frozen feel to them!

That's one of the fella's that helps us work cows, his dad in all seriousness asked him if he'd prepared for the hurricane. He said, "Sure I have dad." went to the back of his truck and out came the inner tube and cans on a string. His dad stood there shakin his head n said, "Boy, you just ain't right"

That's a great survival kit. I don't have one, but will if I ever get threatened with a hurricane!
