Rodeo bred cattle

yeah I bought her from Kevin-I do a bunch of A'I'ing for him every year. I've never met Perry. She's got Quam's brand on her so Barry bred her. She's a big cat though.

I like the looks of her. Its a small world after all. Andy Robertson at Carlyle mentioned he thought somebody up in your country got some cows from them.

Yeah the rodeo world is even smaller yet-if I had the soonias I'd flush her to LYJ when we go out to Mayerthorpe to pick up the stud. Looks like half a dozen little broncs due to arrive shortly.

I am wondering is there really any money in them or are they like the ostrich a fad that will pass?

Thanks to r-calf you cant even cross the border with them anymore<stupid> which would really hurt there value up here.

Hey has anybody heard how Keslers made out or what they ended up doing to them for trying to smuggle those bulls across the line?

I honestly don't know. Actually, I should've said I know of a Perry Gursky, my husband knows him a bit better than me. The name of his place is Bar X something or other. Geez, I'm full of information, aren't I???

I drive by this place every time I go to Saskatoon, and the name of his place is on the back wall of one of his sheds next to the highway. I've seen it hundreds of times, but it's just escaping me what it says. I think it's P Bar X, to be exact. Now I'm gonna have to look next time I drive by!

Not sure how clear this is going to be-Jr. was on tilt the second jump but he hustled up and got him finished to win second. The dumdum forgot his boot ties so he rode most of the ride with his inside boot coming off-kind of hard to spur in your socks. That arena is the dark hole of calcutta lol.

What a small world M.R.

Andy's daughter lives a mile down the road from our farm. Andy was joking that someday I should go AI some of his brahmas... He was wondering how much he would have to pay me to try some of those rodeo cows.... he never did get any semen that I know of anyways.

He has some semen now on Jungle James. I was talking to him just the other day and he said some was available. Andy is a good friend of mine and he is a real honest fello. They ve got a nice place there and some darn good bulls. we bought some hiefers from him a few years ago.

Yup,

Those two are awesome, I grew up with Garett & Tanner from the time we were in playschool until graduation. Always good for talking with them thats for sure. Usually make a point of seeing them somewhere along the line when I am at home on holidays. If they were black beef heifers not for rodeo they might have been out of one of dads bulls.
