Rope Stretching

Whats the best way to stretch a new rope? (no it is not prestretched)
I bought a swivel like you get at the hardware store and it binds up when you pull the rope tight and wont spin. I am using a comealong when this happens. Thanks for the input.

Saddle up and go rope a couple of great big cows, that out to do it. :shock:
