What's the opinion of Kamsack? I was offered a pretty good deal on a site there. Just never heard of the place. I know it's outside of Yorkton but ??? Water situation OK in this neck O the woods? Looks like the community is geared towards attracting younger folk. Pool, rinks etc.. Let me know :)

Watch out for the Y2K bug-the Yorkton to Kamsack bug lol. There are no bad places to live in Saskatchewan except Regina lol. I hate Kamsack because I lost my number one bantam goalie when his Dad transferred to there with the Mounties lol. It's pretty country down to the south of there-as far as the town itself I've only travelled through it.

I really like the rolling hills type of terrain for raising horses so I would like to stick to that if I can. Dont want things too flat or I will have to build critter piles all over the place :) This little place might be what I am looking for , just making sure there is a place to by TP etc close by. I don't mind driving for up to an hour for supplies but with the current price of gas I had best figure that into the budget. Anyhow the family will be sending me photos tommorow so we shall see.....

Is Wapella closer to Manitoba? I love the land in that direction. Very pretty :)

Get a map put your finger on number one highway at the Manitoba border and keep moving ewest and you'll find Wapella just past Moosomin-I might be heading there for roundup in a month or so.

Moosomin is really nice country too. A zillion years ago I took a cousin on a road trip through Sask. She had never left BC. Ended up she liked it so much she transfered to CBC!!

I did manage to find a gorgeous place up there for 165,000 sold already though but really nicely done place. I didn't see anything with land though. Aw heck I'll just rent a camper and move from ranch to ranch as my welcome gets worn out. All I will need is some portable corral panels and I'm set :)

nope, pretty sure you just made that pretty lil ranchette up :) I'm sure he's pretty busy this time of year though!

I can just see it now, JT makes her famous rollup pancakes and hunters come from miles around :) Then with the mind control devices planted in their bellies. I get tons of free meats when I assure the hunters that deer from this area just don't taste all that good and they will need to leave it with me. Too heavy to carry home you know :)

I would think Wapella is plenty hilly as its close to the Moose Mtns and through the valley... Very pretty country in there. Also a good rodeo in the fall if I do remember correctly. At least with Wapella you are close to a few major centers on decent highways... Pretty much anywhere in sk you will do good, Kamsack is a little too north for me to comment on particulars though, although Yorkton seems to be a good little city

The absolute King of the Rednecks lives in Wapella-a day with that guy is definately an adventure you won't forget-he makes Larry the Cable guy look almost couth lol.
