Really good band, and a fun evening celebrating a friend's 70th birthday and their 50th anniversary. It was a wonderful party.

Looks like you guys had a great time. Theres nothing better then a small town rodeo.

THX for always sharing your pics,I may not always comment but do always enjoy looking.

Like your pictures Soap!

And I was just seven miles away....flat on my back underneath a semi playing "mechanic". (Am prepared to catch hell from Jinglebob over working when one should be playing :-) ) . At least some friends stopped by later, and we sat up around the unfinished house, without electricity, and drank imported beer.

One request: some bulldoggin and calf roping pictures.........

Just ignore the blonde Soap. Who wants to look at that stuff? :D

Katrina, it was getting too dark to take pictures. Besides, we left the rodeo early to get to the dance.

Good Pictures soapweed! I wish we had local rodeos, we have to drive over an hour to get to one :(

I like the one with the guy rubbin his bum

Katy

Katy, if you only knew.

It is at least an hour of driving for us to get anywhere. It was an hour from home to the rodeo, another hour to the dance, and another hour to get back home driving sleepy but sober. :-)

So I take it Country of Origin Labeling doesn't ring too big of a bell with you, Cal? :-)

One thing about Harrison is that I can almost be doing anything in less than 30 minutes drive. I can be at a Big lake, Buffalo river, White river, Branson Mo. Ozark National Forest, nearly every restaurant ,a big cave or two, etc. The funny thing is though it seems like it takes forever with the traffic and I rarely ever go to any of these spots. When out in soapweeds country an hour drive seems to me at least like it flys by. I don't mind it a bit.

yeah, i guess id rather live out in the middle of nowhere where there isnt alot of traffic rather than where there is. I live out in the middle of nowhere, litteraly!! the closest town with a store is 30 minutes away! my hamlet, has 10 people in it, with a post office, and that in someones yard!! :) But I love it anyways, just kinda wish we lived closer to some place with some nightly activities. Or any activites for that matter!

An hour drive out west was nothing for me to do if I thought I had some place to go, that and seeing place you had never seen or going somewhere for fun always made the trip woth it.. Now we have just about anything we want within an hour (except a good restraunt where the food actually has flavor, gotta go to Chicago for that it seems or cook it yourself).. Now, when I ahve to drive the 2 hours into the chicago burbs I cringe.. Dodging traffic the whole way, the people everywhere.... Bleck, I much rather head west on I-80 than east.

So whats his story??

Katy

His story is that he landed too hard on his butt. :-)

What I was referring to about "if you only knew" was the fact we are miles from nowhere. It takes a long time to drive to any "local" town. The little burg where we get our mail is thirteen miles away, and everywhere else is much farther than that.

As long as it's voluntary  . I think just east of the fairgrounds you'd probably find lots of domestic brands, though. Did you happen to make it over there? :D
