Just got on to post my Sunday mornin', and had to take time to see whats going on up your way. Great set of pics as always. You come up with some great captions to match great pictures. How about "Ears to the cattle trailing down the valley?"

Thanks Shortgrass. I started putting the horse's ears in my photos quite a while back, mainly to prove I was horseback instead of on a four-wheeler. :-)

Soapweed, great photos, they always are. One struck me in particular, of KosmoKid.......that just looks like it shoulda been back in the late 1800s or early 1900s. So I took the liberty of playin with it. My grandpa usta wear a hat like that. Guess that's what made me think of doin this, cuz all the photos of him are black and white, some of them now looking sepia.

Thanks, Jersey Lilly, for "doctoring up" the picture of the Kosmo Kid. It turned out pretty cool, and now looks very "old timey." Good idea.

Very...interesting...

Thanks for giving us a different view.

Soap, is that hat what the guys at Sheridan College are wearing
now? I kinda like it. It's different.

As far as I know, it is just this one guy at the college that is wearing this particular style. He was poking through a second-hand store up there, and found this old-time hat. It is even a Stetson. Anyway, he went to work with steam from a teapot and fixed it up to suit himself. Time will tell if the "style" will ever catch on. I don't think he really cares. :-)

I like that hat of your kids soapweed. I wear a little hat. Not hardly that little but anyway you can have a little fun out of him like my sombrero wearing buddies do me. When you get him in public tell the story how that used to be a good hat till he got caught in a storm and it shrunk.

"I don't think he really cares."

Soapweed, that little line is exactly what makes Brock such a
unique young man. Not many college freshman would be like that.
I've so enjoyed your pictures of him and watching him mature.
I know you and Peach Blossom are proud of him, and rightfully so.
I'm sure he stands for what he believes in and how could you
ask for anything better?

Thanks for sharing him with us these past years.

And now I will post a picture of the "ears" of my sturdy steed, Arctic Cat, to prove I was astride a four-wheeler instead of riding an old-fashioned horse.
