Nice pictures as usual; bet it's a lot nicer to handle the camera rather than the diggers on a fencin' project :!:

As a matter of fact, I got to do both. The camera doesn't cause as many blisters, though, as does the diggers.

I always enjoy your pictures, but have to wonder, if you got rid of the camera, how much more you could accomplish in a day!

on second thought, hire another man, and take more pictures!

Love those cacti...We have both the purple/pink flowers and the yellow like FH posted around here....

Grandma knows the spot under an old cottonwood where I want to be planted--and I told her to just stick a couple of those cactus on top- since they grow anywhere and don't take much care....

The cactus would be a pretty decoration for a grave, and they would keep varmits from digging up the bones. Double bang for the buck. :-)

OT I know why you want the cactus rather then just grass.
Cause a horse would come along and eat the grass then leave his dump and people would start to believe in Rencarnation.

They are real hands on that Soapweed outfit. If I tried to rope and doctor a critter, AND take a picture, the circus would come to town.

You guys do good work Soapweed. Cattle look great too.

Good looking cattle and thanks for the pictures. We also use LA200 and sulfa pills(if it is so you can use a bolus gun) one time seems to do it. Looks as if you do have some green grass for the time being-have a good one :)

He doctors footrot with two horses, two guys and two ropes.

Sorry. I just couldn't resist! :lol2: :lol2:
Thanks there FH. Clears it up for me .

Thanks soapweed. I use tetracycyline (sp)as well. Just wondering if there was a magic bullet that I was unaware of. I've used albon as well and like it too. I really like topical terramyacin (sp , again) if they're close to the house where you can put it on every day.

Great pics, Soapweed!

We have the pink, yellow and RED cactus flowers here, they all seem to grow on the same kind of cactus, though. Not sure what makes the difference in the flowers, maybe some nutrient in the soil? :?

Your two pics of the "header" and the "heeler" brought to mind Bax's deal about how to tell the "header" from the "heeler".......does that prove true in yours and Saddletramp's case?

Saddletamp must have missed a few loops to be demoted from roping to digging postholes  Better not show him a picture of the post pounder that you can pull behind your truck. :) :) Nice pictures, thanks Soapweed

It was pretty muddy where we were digging. A fancy post pounder would probably have gotten stuck.

Thanks for the pics, yep thats the easiest way to doctor for footrot, just need 2 good ropers, and do it out in the pasture. I'm not a very good roper but I know how to surround myself with a few good ones. :) I can give the shots. lol Treating cattle for a big footrot outbreak does rank right up there with fixing fence for one of the less desireable jobs around here. Although the ropers enjoy it, just not the boss. :(
