Schools Lose Money In Bowls

Yep, MIke, Beebe knew what he was doing when he stuck it in us one last time.

You think Beebe had an influence in scheduling the bowl game?

As I told you before, had I been in the driver's seat, I would have told them to shove it. Picking the Huskers for the bowl was a good enough decision.
But picking Washington as the opposition was a poor move. Surely Beebe had no say in that............................

The Huskers have nothing to gain, and everything to lose in playing Washington.

I'm pretty sure Beebe was involved. I can see how Washington got there, with USC not being eligible and what not. But, here we are, the #2 team in the Big 12, and we get the #5 bowl? Everybody and their dog had us going to the Insight to play Iowa, which would of been a great match up - like a pre-Big 10 rivalry game that would have not only regional interest but national as well. But then the Insight takes Missouri, a team that we had beaten and a team that is known for being a poor traveler? That makes no sense unless you consider Beebe leaning on them.

Sandy, you are starting to sound like Shamoo over in the political forum with this constant conspiracy BS....

Sandy it's really pretty easy. Remember you told ME that it's not how you start the season but how you end it?? Well the Huskers got their ash handed to them by OU so they ended the season going backward. The #5 bowl is about where the deserve to be.

3 points is having your ash handed to you, TB?
OU treated them pretty much like the bastar& child at the family reunion most of the day. And again NU ended up just about where they deserved to be. Sandy i had a young friend that played for Nebraska a few years ago. Seems he got kicked off the team in the middle of his senior year. Never really excelled as a standout player but was good and solid. Started out as arunning back and switched to linebacker his Sr. year. Cody Glenn was his name. Pretty good kid. Drafted by the Skins cut and signed by the Colts. Plays mostly on special teams but made the squad anway.

Cody didn't get kicked off the team for nothing. I'm glad that he's playing on Sundays.

Sandy nobody down this way ever knew the reason and I think they tried to keep it quite. Anyway, he loved it NU and is hanging in.
