SWEET! Those highland cows remind me of the sheepdog that was always thumping wiley coyote on loony tunes! :D Peach and sunflower are pretty gals and they took some pretty pictures! Thanks! :D

Oh WOW....one of the places I most would love to go to. My ancestors were Scottish. Thanks so much for taking the time to post some of their pictures from their trip. I'm sure they had a wonderful time. Can tell they did by the look on their faces.
The landscape is beautiful, as well as such neat castles. WOW Once again, thanks Soapweed! :D

Wow, thanks for sharing Soapweed. Makes me long to go see my ancestral home in person for the first time. Beautiful country.

I agree with Lilly and Silver, WOW, and thank you...and them!!! :) :) My ancestors are also from Scotland and that is the place I would most like to go visit (after everyone on ranchers of course  ) Can't wait for the next installment.

Beautiful, beautiful ,beautiful...Peach,Sunflower AND Scotland....the almost HR download well worth it,I WILL visit my moms home someday soon I pray....Thx Mairi

Nice pictures Soap, I recognize quite a few of the places. Makes me cringe when I see the guys with the rupert bear pants on though - this is what tourists thinks Scottish people wear   a marketing campaign that went too far....
It looks like they got some nice dry weather - there is even clear blue sky on some of them!

Nice country. Looks like a great holiday (no holiday can be counted as such without looking at cows) :D
I have always wanted to head to the ancestral home. That certainly is wood for the fire.

Great Pictures. Did they get to stay in any of the castles? When my wife, her family and I visited, we booked a stay at Minard Castle, which is right on Loch Fyne near Argyll Scotland. If any of you ever get a chance to go, you should check it out. Also, if any of you ever pick up a golf club, you have to play a few rounds. You will be amazed at the greens and vegetation. We played outside of my mother-in-laws childhood home of Fraserburgh. It is a little public "true links" course right on the sea. Beats anything I have played here.

Anyway, next time you need to join them Soap. Or maybe you and the boys need to take off to Ireland or Spain. Can't you picture yourselves at the Running Of the Bulls? :)

Great pictures Soapweed! thank you for sharing, I like to get up to Scotland for the Highland games and Edinburgh tattoo, I haven't been competing in the piping competitions for some years now, need to get my standard back up to playing at competition.

Wow, what beautiful pictures :D . Thanks for sharing them. Traveling abroad is the best education you can get IMO. If I could, I'd travel the world, although I haven't even scratched the surface seeing what's here on this ranch yet  :-) . I'm glad they had the opportunity to go there together!

Really nice! Thanks to Soap and the ladies! It does a body good to expand a little and travel abroad (Texan, that's one word). I appreciate it when someone shares that experience on here. I'm sure it was a great and memorable adventure!

While I'm on the subject....I also like posts that talk about "iron". Anything that moves or can be moved; New, old, good, bad, fast, slow, whatever. Wish there was more of that on here.
