We got a 2 inch rain this week that was very welcome. We were starting to get dry. I am very conservative on stocking rates and it is really paying off with good early season growth even without a lot of rain. I have a few small pastures I send some quit pairs to. These 7 are only on about 20 acres but it has a lot of manure fertility and is a great place to graze.

this grass was originally the home of a well respected Angus breeder, who fell on hard times 20 years ago and sold out to a big German syndicate farm. We are lucky to rent this place and they are happy to have someone look after it.

Business end of them. I don't feed any grain to these January calvers, but my hay was excellent quality and they are in the best condition I have ever seen them. There are 5 really nice bull calves in here that will be keepers.
