She had a cute big bay filly 2 hind stockings and a right front sock, with a star and a snip. Shes very very leggy. I named her dixie. I didn't think foals were suppose to be so big. I guess her sires a warmblood the old owner of the mare is working on some registration papers. The vet said she was atleast 2 weeks overdue her teeth were already coming through. She had it when I was at work thurs. April 5th. The mare tore pretty good. Its interesting watching her. She's already a kicker. She's kicked almost everybody but me. (knock on wood) She's already eating grain, hay, and drinking water. Srry no pics I still have to get them off my digital camera. She got out this morning, along with letting out 3 other horses. She's figured out how to work the latches. The vet said her front legs aren't very straight, and her shoulders a lil off.

Congrats!

I look forward to the pictures.

That baby is just that...a baby and only a few days old, don't worry about what the vet said.

Let that baby get some growth and unfold from being in the womb....then make judgements!

Congrats!

She was born at our barn. I'm waiting to see she'll be 2 weeks old tomorrow night. The vet'll be coming out again this saturday to give her more shots, and to check her out again.

By the way if there's anyone in my area looking for a pasture mate I have a 15 y/o appy that I sold so I could buy my books for school. The women seemed nice but I guess she wasn't. He's lame in his left front shoulder. The vet said its permanent from running barrels when he was younger, and her jumping him like he was a 4 y/o TB. I bought him back for $500 so he didn't go for glue. He's a really nice horse, and can always make you smile. He had papers at one point in time but their lost now. His registered name was Notable Act, but I just call him Tommy Boy. I'd be willing to give him away as a pasture mate, even though my mom would kill me. I live in NY.

That's great appyfan! Dont worry if she is a bit crooked at the moment, I would be more concerned if she were perfectly straight. She will more than likely grow into herself, so no worries I would think. TB are more gangly than most other ponies so she will grow up, up up. And then as a three to four year old she will start to mass outwards. I have had the odd massy baby. They are the exception rather than the rule. Looks like she took after the TB side not the warblood side :) Anyone else notcie the amout of Fillies being born this year? I think TTB had the first baby boy .
