Shipping day

We were very worried that the calves wouldn't make weight with the dry summer we had. Well, we shipped today and both loads were overweight and 20 lbs heavier than last year :shock: Hard to believe for sure. We couldn't be prouder of our cows for doing such a good job on such a tough year!!!!

Another plus is that we got we got to keep a few more replacement heifers than we thought. Did miss a couple we planned to keep but that's the way it goes.

We'll preg tomorrow, and that is scary too. Have been hearing about higher than average % of opens.
