A confirmed world record of .0077" was shot in Texas recently. That's 5 shots at 100 yards. Sanctioned by the NBRSA. Cartridge - .30PPC w/ Custom gun

The previous record of .009" has held for over 40 years and was shot with a .222.

the old triple deuce is my favorite caliber. I would love to find a couple more, they aren't easy to come by.

Saw a Remington 40X Targetmaster from the Rem Custom Shop in .222 with a Unertl scope sell at a gunshow last year for $8,000.00.

My dad has Remington model 700 bdl's in 222 22-250 243 25-06 270 and 300. All but one bought in the early 80's, all are in excellent shape I done some checking on them, they are worth about 3 times what he paid for them. The 222 was my favorite because I started shooting it probly around 10 and it didn't kick to much. I think the 22-250 is my favorite now though. Reach out a little farther on those wary prarie dogs.

I've never seen a .222 or 22-250 bolt gun that didn't shoot good.

i have a OLD Gevarm 222 with a OLD Bushnell scope about 18 inches long. Has the extra range deal that i don't even know how to use on the end. It's my back door gun for shooting coyotes. :D :D

have never had the pleasure of owning a .222, one uncle has one in a 788 rem. another uncle has one in a 340 savage. cousin has one in a 700 rem. so far all negotiation's to pry one loose have failed
