We don't ever weigh our cows but the ones pictured here probably range from 1400 lbs to 1800 lbs. I personally would like to have the average cow in the herd weigh 1300-1400 lbs, but if a cow can maintain body condition, rebreed, and wean an acceptable calf on the forage our ranch grows, then we don't worry to much about frame size. In our opinion frame size becomes a problem when supplemental feeding is required to maintain an acceptable level of production. Around here the hard do-ers cull themselves.
