Branded at a friends yesteday, NW of here. It was in the Long Pine Hills where the HUGE fire went through in 2002. I don't think that he had 200 acres that didn't burn in that fire. Rain has made the country over there look real good this year.

Going down a draw looking for cows.

A local sage. I wish I had a tenth of his wisdom.

Having a cup while the irons are heating. Two men who I like to spend time with, and admire lots.

Tap- great pics-- what kind of Passport does it take to slip into Montana these days :???:
You should try to slip a few miles in next week for the big Miles City doings....

I'd like to attend the bucking bull sale on Friday- and the horse races and matched bronc on Sunday-- but as usual there isn't any rooms available in town and I'm not driving 400 miles twice with $3.00+ fuel  ...Couldn't keep up with all the kids anymore anyway... I was working on a deal to take a mare to breed to a fellow on the way down that had a Col Freckles stud- would have gave me a good excuse...But then I found a son of CD Olena I like better- but thats in the other direction...

Looks like they have some good broncs and bronc riders lined up for Sunday...

If this country gets back to the way it used to be-- if anything will bring in a rainy weekend its the bucking horse sale....Last time I hauled horses down to the BHS saddle horse sale even brought a snowstorm...

Great pictures Tap! I worked that area (and points west of there) a number of years back & it sure brought back some great memories.
Thanks for posting 'em!
